The Electech Innovation Cluster’s purpose is to provide social and economic benefits to the local area by enabling growth of the Electech sector. This is delivered through the core values of:
What is the Electech Innovation Cluster?
The Electech Innovation Cluster was founded by a consortium of forward thinking technology companies to provide an empowering collective voice. We are uniquely placed to bridge the gap between industry, research and development, government and education.
Our aim is to maximise potential and drive inclusive growth and employment by overcoming the under-representation of local SMEs in the electronics industry and the challenges of changing markets.
Electech in the Morecambe Bay and South Lakes area
The Morecambe Bay and South Lakes area is at the very heart of the 4th Industrial Revolution, harnessing innovative Electech technologies, supporting the transition to a low carbon economy and attracting investment. The area’s existing skills, infrastructure and supply chain are all vital for the UK’s recovery from the impact of Covid-19 and future growth.
Our objective is to build Lancashire and Cumbria’s reputation as a centre of excellence for Electech. This is a sector which naturally lends itself to higher value added activity, improving economic output and creating high value jobs. We also aim to establish an inclusive local peer network, enhance the local skillset, increase accessibility to Electech careers and enable knowledge sharing and collaboration.
What are the benefits of membership of the Electech Innovation Cluster?
We offer our members opportunity, collective resilience, partnership building and a supportive environment to scale their businesses. Annual membership is open to any local Electech business irrespective of size and can increase members’ visibility and value for their customers.
Members can take advantage of innovation and development support, skills and training programmes, professional services and representation. We build strong external relationships with purpose, working to influence government policy at local, regional and national level.
